Steam-Program Highlights

During Steam class we ended the month of November learning about nocturnal animals and then starting December learning about trees. We talked about our Christmas trees and explored acorns, bark, and pine needles with magnifying glasses. They also decorated my classroom tree and used eye droppers to melt ice shaped trees. Our next theme was candy canes and we mixed shaving cream with red paint to create messy candy canes. The sensory bin was filled with white rice and red sprinkles with some peppermint oil for a wonderful smell. Lastly, our theme will be the greatest gift… jesus!

We will have a star scavenger hunt and read a nativity story.

Bible & Music

What a beautiful Celebration we had. The children were terrific and I was so proud of them. This month we have read the Children’s Bible story of Jesus’s birth along with other picture books including The Stable and Follow the Star. We are making connections from our Celebration songs to the stories and the children are really understanding how it all fits together. In music, we have gotten out the bells to jingle along with, we have been on a Santa Hunt and watched our 5 snowmen melt along

with other winter and Christmas songs.

Thank you to all the IN families that donated to the

JBWS Mittens, Hats and Fidgets Drive. We were able to collect many items that will benefit the JBWS families this Holiday Season
